However, such certain artworks would not be appropriate for display on public or government property. We'd like future generations to see we revered monuments of unity and courage and peace.

I mean, keep the Bronze cast of Charles Manson in your own gallery, not in a public park.

To the people who keep talking about how it's part of hiiiiiistory that now we can put up real historically-accurate statues - some can even have people like Robert E. Lee. I see him on his knees handing his sword over to General Grant as he surrenders at Appomattox. Oh, sure, there's a little bit of artistic license there, but he did surrender, and we can make sure this historical fact is never forgotten by making a statue depicting it!

I've made this suggestion to a few people who hide behind the, "history card," as it were. They couldn't come up with a response to get around my more historically-accurate suggestion. Pissed them off.
