Fear of protests prompts change to Arpaio event in Las Vegas
https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/the-strip/fear-of-protests-prompts-change-to-arpaio-event-in-las-vegas/
Amid fears of massive protests, Las Vegas police asked a conservative group to change the venue for a dinner honoring Joe Arpaio, the controversial former sheriff fresh off a pardon from President Donald Trump.
The sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona, for 24 years, Arpaio was convicted of contempt in July for defying a court order instructing his department to stop detaining suspected undocumented immigrants. Arpaio, pardoned last month by Trump, was set to receive the Conservative Leadership Conferences Courage Under Fire Award at the groups dinner Saturday night at the Tropicana.
But police worried Arpaios appearance could be the spark to ignite violent protests, according to Chuck Muth, the events host and president of the conservative group Citizen Outreach.
Muth would not say where the event will be or whether the former sheriff will attend.

Has been for years. One part of their fifty-state final solution, like ALEC and dozens of "think tanks." I'm sure whatever he's doing now is somehow funded through the GOP wealthy fanatic donor system. Also comments on local news articles all day long.

Sounds like fun. Do they have a ticket price set or do you just send them a blank check?
