New Harvard admissions criterion: What would Fox "News" say?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/13/us/harvard-nyu-prison-michelle-jones.html?emc=edit_th_20170914&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=34053085

“We didn’t have some preconceived idea about crucifying Michelle,” said John Stauffer, one of the two American studies professors. “But frankly, we knew that anyone could just punch her crime into Google, and Fox News would probably say that P.C. liberal Harvard gave 200 grand of funding to a child murderer, who also happened to be a minority. I mean, c’mon.”

They also said that she "minimized her crime" whatever that means, but they provided no example of what that was supposed to mean.

She was open about what she did, the circumstances of it, etc. If Harvard couldn't handle it, all they had to do was to say so. But this "Fox News would probably say" crap doesn't wash with me. If what Fox Noise would say about ANYTHING is of any consequence to any Harvard admissions committee, then the place has gone downhill fast. My grandfather was the son of a poor tailor from South Carolina who worked his way through Harvard as a janitor. Fox "News" probably wouldn't have found him very worthy, either. Luckily, they weren't around when he applied.
