Right now, only Mueller is preventing Putin from walking in the White House, pushing Trumpy aside, and assuming the position of chief executive. The entire GOP leadership, so deathly afraid of relinquishing power, doesn't understand that they, too, are on the bubble. Once Russia's hardline operators take over the government, the GOP will become a vestigial political party, playing Putin's tune.

Russia's coup is astonishing in its breadth and depth. And because the GOP is so desperate to gain and maintain power, they ignored the security and legitimate power of the common electorate and instead used Russia's money, propaganda, and cunning to win last year's elections. If Mueller succeeds, the GOP's partnership with Russia will be exposed. If Mueller fails, we have a new president: Putin.

I remember seeing a clip earlier in the year about a rally in ....... Mississippi, I THINK not positive on that but somewhere in the deep south, where the trump/repuglican supporter was going on and on about all the "outsiders" coming in to protest. She "hadn't actually SEEN all the outsiders" but KNEW they were there. When asked where SHE was from (think they asked about zip code) this person pointed to the line of buses and said she was from a coastal town hundreds of miles away. Did NOT see the irony at all.

ANYWAY, I'm wondering why they didn't do something similar for this? Confident that all the trumpist's would show up? Hubris? Or just plain old dumbassery? NO idea but seeing the "turn out" filled me with joy.
