Robertsdale High School student holds anti-Hispanic sign (Twitter)

An Alabama high school student apologized over the weekend after a photo went viral of her holding what appeared to be a racist anti-Hispanic sign at a pep rally.

WALA reported that an unnamed Robertsdale High School student was photographed holding a sign that says, “Put The Panic Back In Hispanic.” In the same photo, another student is holding a large sign, reading, “Trump: Make America Great Again.”

After the photo went viral, current and former Robertsdale students expressed outrage on social media.

Arrested development very similar to the local Powder Puff High School team where I live who came on the field in black face. Of course they plead ignorance. Given that the small town of 7000 had three separate active chapters of the Klan few in even this town bought the ignorance defense.

Even the local girls in black face not recognizable learned this when they went to College. It shot their reputation and branded them racist. That school and the brainless girls in the photo are in for some hard lessons.

though if anyone is offended, let me say how sorry I am that you were offended, since I was merely hoping to be adorable by saying this and certainly had no idea anybody might take it the wrong way

'free speech' to use generic hate. Her slur was just for an entire high school.

But I understand your confusion. Not enough accountability to encourage you to change.

Very common.

and should all be held fully accountable for the bigoted and racist act of intimidation against non-white residents of the USA.

Who the hell brings partisan political signs and bigoted, racist signs to a school pep rally? {*Rhetorical Question*}

It's the old "Liberals have no sense of humor" and "We were just having fun" defense.

Humor and fun at the expense of others is not funny or playful.
