#ImStillWithHer : This Twitter thread explains the Hillary thing.

For anyone who still has the slightest doubt.

So. There ya go. @MrsSheaWong has neatly described how she, and I and, I believe (based on the number of RTs and Likes) a WHOLE LOTTA women are looking at the events of the last 12 months-plus.

And how that is likely to inform our actions and choices in upcoming elections.

By the way-- Did you know there are more women than men?

In America.

In the Democratic Party.

So.

Think about it, Democratic Party leadership.

Think REAL HARD.

There are more misogynists among Republicans. It is not even close. And exactly how many misogynists equates to one's "share"?

If you had actually read the tweets, you would realize this thread was about the horrific double standard and hate spewed upon our first major party female presidential candidate, as more recently demonstrated by how even some who claim to be progressive lost their shit over Hillary's new book. We, the women, the base of the Democratic Party, have had it with this bullshit. We will not hold our tongue any more, we will not quietly toil for campaigns while others mansplain what we should do. Nope. We have no more fucks to give. We are with HER.

"And if anyone tells you to stay quiet for unity, you remind them that true unity does not require silence. They are describing control"...

Does this mean Bernie Sanders, a member of the Democratic leadership, gets to similarly speak his mind because "true unity does not require silence"?

I'd further stipulate that Senator Sanders' has similarly been galvanizing people to run for office for a very long time now. I'm sure "progbros" (wtf?) would be the first to encourage anyone to get in the fight

Only ones doing that are the ones shutting up everyone who dares to speak at all. When anyone says offensive, objectionable things, they can also listen to the replies.

I think you're missing the evidence that these people are not encouraging anyone to get into the fight but are actively working to attack them.

We watched her mocked for taking a goddamn walk in the woods while the loser of the primary went on a book tour 2 WEEKS AFTER ELECTION.

And then we watched her write a book and unleash another torrent of concern troll abuse in the form of calls for "unity".

You see, Bernie going on a book tour was "therapy". But magically, her book just "isn't the right time/will tear Dems apart/etc

People question her motives, but didn't say boo when 2x Pres loser Mitt Romney made a GD documentary and took it to Sundance. SUNDANCE.

Or forgive the unequal treatment that exposed the values and souls of those who engaged in it. I came to learn that the singular goal of far too many is to maintain the established social order--(and even restore it to the early to mid-20th century) with white men, who despite having more than most Americans and 99.97% of planet earth claim they are exploited because they don't hold all power and wealth.

I'm almost afraid to say it but DWS was a victim of sexism as well.

Ta-Nehisi Coats wrote an article last week saying it was all about racism and not about economic conditions. I agree with him but, it is impossible not to see the sexism. Especially over her FFFFFing BOOK. Really, the media still do not get it? When they trashed her for her book, like the author in the OP, it was like someone grabbed me by the shoulders and screamed "wake up!". Women and POC are f---ed in the US and we're pissed.

As a woman, I'm painfully aware that while all men are shaped by the privilege of their gender, some men of color have seized on that privilege as compensation for the disempowerment they suffer based on race.

And as an Anglo woman, I know damn' well I have to fight the same phenomenon in reverse, not to mention the fear-mongering that goes with feelings of vulnerability added to the intrinsic racism of white privilege.

Until we ALL can address BOTH racism AND misogyny, simultaneously, we'll leave that fault line exposed to the money and power of the white patriarchy.

Could you imagine if this website, founded upon a stolen election, made it so Gore supporters couldn't speak of the wrongs done to him after his election??

Yet Hillary supporters have to shut their mouths and not rock the boat. Are told to move on from it all. Are lambasted as being divosive for speaking truths of a fucking stolen election from start to finish. Yet the persons who screamed rigged election on both sides for two fucking years straight won't let the woman and her supporters who had it stolen from them speak about all the fucking dirty wrong shit done.

It is really unbelievable and if some people self reflected they might see the unfairness and plain old fucking sexist acts for what they are. But nope.

It truly is disgusting.
