Should Bernie have coordinated his Single payer proposal to a time in a few

weeks when the Senate would need 60 votes to pass Trumpcare? I'm just pointing out the obvious. That a party member coordinates better. I like Bernie. But I feel this criticism is due. Look at what Lindsay Graham said:

https://thinkprogress.org/grahamcassidybreitbartacarepeal-d551621b2433/

"SNIP........

Graham painted the plan as the antithesis of the single-payer health care bill unveiled by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) last week, which would, over the course of four years, expand Medicaid eligibility to all residents.

“This is Bernie Sanders’ worst nightmare,” Graham said on the Saturday radio show. “It’s either this or we’re going to Obamacare and Berniecare. Now, Berniecare is full-blown single-payer socialism. It is his dream and that’s where Democrats are going.”

........SNIP"

And now they only still need 50 votes to pass the lasted version of TrumpNOTcare.

Since Graham knows so well what all these nebulous terms are, I want him to tell the country what "half-blown single-payer socialism" looks like, so we can decide for ourselves.

Sanders holds great positions on many items but coalition building and strategy are foreign to him. While Weaver was a snake he was Sanders brains. Sanders could really use Weaver as a full time staff member.

Hillary Clinton towards the end of the primary and her campaign talked about progressive issues including single payer insurance even after Bill gave that "bash" Sanders speech criticizing his single Payer proposal

It seems like some anti Sanders journalist writes an op ed criticizing Sanders Insurgence proposal and it becomes an instant automatic subject on DU

Republicans like Graham would have us believe that Single payer would bankrupt the Country..when in face it would save us Billions.

Medicare is working well for Seniors,Check out your pay stub and see what the deduction is now..I think it was estimated that the average Wage earner would have to pay an extra $22.00 per pay period...That's very reasonable.
Of course for the minimum wage earner it would be a very minimum deduction.
So Graham doesnt know what the hell he is talking about but he is a Republican so that is normal.

and contrast it with the latest, putrid tRumpCare alternative.

And I don't listen to Lindsey Graham on any issue, ever.

both with that characterization, and with the idea that we shouldn't come out with our ideas/policies/bills out of fear of what the cretins on the other side will do.

no matter what we say, or when, they will always trash it. so let them. we need to be pro-active, not reactive or defensive. just my two cents
