We see Vermont Senator very differently. That's a fact. Can we still UNITE?

Am NOT INTERESTED in bashing him, believe me I AM NOT, since am not interested in the guy.

I am progressive and liberal. And I am a proud DEM!

I mean well for us DEMS & our country which I did serve years ago.

We can still be "unified" in other aspects. Can't we?

We should find what unite us. Any ideas?

I know how important UNITY is to everyone here!

Viva la Vida UNITED!

Note: This post is about finding other areas that do unite us.

I am not sure why there is so much fighting between Sanders and Clinton supporters since they are very close ideologically except on some issues like trade and maybe health care, although the differences on health care seem to be more about strategy, like improving and building on the ACA vs. a more thorough health care revamp via Medicare for All.

I actually think that ideologically speaking the Democrats are less divided than they were ten years ago. For one thing there seems to be way fewer Blue Dogs now than there used to be and the party has become more liberal as a whole.

One way I try to put it into action is by not carrying over a "grudge" against DU members with whom I have had strong disagreements on other threads in some way related to Senator Sanders. I may or may not respect where they are coming from in that regard, but when they write about other matters where we see more eye to eye I freshly engage with them in solidarity.

Democratic activists who either like or dislike Bernie, and those who either like or dislike Hillary, still have far more in common than might divide us. And we still need to unite to resist the Republican agenda and promote causes and actions that we all believe deeply in.

avatars and bylines so am not biased by them. Just see their present posts.

I only see the avatars when I am about to respond. So per instance now I can see your Bernie avatar.

Not seeing all of the above makes the site more compressed for me which I like.

BTW I agree that we have more in common than not.

Thanks!
