If Mueller is fired and/or everyone is pardoned what will occur?

What do the Senate and House do (the GOP and the Dems) and what do the American citizens do?

Do we sit by and wait for 2020 or 2018? Can anything be done by the people besides voting?

For example, Sessions being caught on a phone tape at the Mayflower hotel which is in DC? Most of the crimes take place outside of states. Does that make any difference as far as legal jurisdiction goes?

Sessions will probably be out of that prosecution.

The Trump Org, no.

Realistically, voting the bastards out is the most realistic scenario.

At least we'll know we live in a Kakistocracy at that point.

Pardons can't be issued to protect the president from impeachment.

But at the end of the day, impeachment is a political process, not a legal one. The president is removed from office if the House impeaches and the Senate convicts, regardless of the reasons for the votes.

doubtful at best.

it all comes out, he's re-elected, he hangs on, despised by all, and leaves in 2025, disgraced. like bush jr.

best case:

he's not re-elected.

oh, wait. there's an even worse case: he refuses to leave office in 2025.

How could any conservative lawmaker stand by idle while that happened and still claim to 'respect the rule of law'? I would hope that the Dems and what few Republicans have a spine at this point would be able to gain traction on impeachment if there were legitimate and undeniable charges brought. (How much circumstantial evidence does the government need?!)

That contingency has been discussed many times.
Trump would be stupid to fire him, it would be too obvious.
but Trump does not play by logic or sane rules, so the Dems have Plan B.

The GOP is acting like a party that will never again have to participate in a free and fair election. They just don't care about anything except power.
