who have either sat, knelt, or raised the old "black power" fist during the anthem. Of note, not all were black, and at least on my team, a black player sat on the bench and a white player supported him. The white player stood, but he stood next to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
The players are responding, because it is pretty obvious that something untoward is happening with regards to Colin Kaepernick and his inability to find a job in the league. He's better than a lot of players currently on rosters.
