Hurricane Maria models shifting west toward North Carolina coastline

All the most reliable models now agree on that unfortunate trend. Previously Maria was forecast out to sea.

The Euro model late tonight shifted 100 miles west of where it had been previously in regard to North Carolina. That places it in agreement with UKMET.

Weakness of Jose contributes to the westward trend.

The time frame in question is roughly 5 days away. Maria has slowed.

The only good news is Maria would probably be Category 1 if it makes landfall or swipes that area.

All my best to DUers in that region.
