Trump plays his base again.

Aside from getting Gorsuch confirmed, Trump has accomplished nothing the right-wingers voted for.

He’s about to fail for a second time at repealing the ACA.

So, how to get the right-wing base to stand solidly with him? Make a huge deal out of the national Anthem and the flag.

These people are easily manipulated by hot-button emotional issues over symbolism. Trump knows it. That’s why he’s doing this.

Does anyone believe he gives a crap about those things? The guy has NO core principles outside of self-promotion and “winning.”

To say these people are more stupid than a bag of dirt is the biggest understatement ever.

if they literallly don’t care what he does? They may not have cared that he flip-flopped, but he still had to play to their fears and anger.

To say they literally don’t care what he does implies that they’d stick with him if he flipped on health care and backed a Democratic plan.

As for the aspect of their collective intelligence, i don’t think we disagree there.

They're openly bribing Texas, Alaska and Maine. In the meanwhile, the changes they've made are awful for American citizens, especially the old, the young and the ill.

Bottom line: keep calling!

He might have realized that maybe his base LIKES the ACA (At least if it's not called Obama care), and is trying to maneuver into a position where he'll be able to say that he actually SUPPORTS it in a year or two.

And his base, long on anger and short on smarts, will believe him.
