I want to hear some cable news talking head ask the question of a white person defending Trump and demand they actually verbalize an answer.

They will inevitably revert to reverse racism and they out themselves for what they are.

It's because as long as the aristocratic class can keep the poor and middle class fighting among themselves, we won't be coming after them. It goes all the way back to elevating white indentured servants above black slaves.

And it is because far too few grasp the truth that one need not be racist to support racist ideas or hold racist beliefs.
They need merely not recognize that the ideas or beliefs are rooted in, and in service of, racism they don't actually harbor.

Being a white guy who grew up in the Deep South, I have experienced this first hand, and had to evaluate carefully what I believed not because it bore any resemblance to truth, but because it served someone else's racism for me to believe it, and I hadn't paid close enough attention to notice the difference.
