First college team I have seen get blowback over kneeling

I follow a few on Facebook

Yesterday coach will muschamp issued a statement basically supporting players right to protest. This morning posts appear like on NFL pages, fire him, boycott, destroy paraphernalia etc.

They are already pretty much my favorite SEC team largely because they haven't won the SEC since 1969.

I meant to say that but had SEC on my mind when I made that post.

These are usually (not always, but in general) the same kind of slovenly idiotic people who hold up signs like "keep your gummint hands off my medicare" and "get a brain morans".

The sheer stupidity of being upset and calling for retribution over someone exercising their rights under the Constitution is flabbergasting. This is AMERICA...not North Korea or Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia. Free speech is absolutely inviolate and should not be made to heel to the whims of a majority or the proclamations of an Executive branch head who was installed against the popular opinion of the nation as its leader.

I was never terribly fond of Muschamp previously, but I will hope for his success in the future if for no other reason than to have people of conscience and understanding in positions to help mold the minds of the men and women of our collective future.

Aren't the people that complain about protests also using their right to free speech as well?

Under your logic, no one should protest Nazi marches because after all, they are also they are exercising their free speech

So according to you, free speech isn't inviolate

I am not calling for them to be fired or muzzled...merely stating that I am personally sick of their willful ignorance when it comes to what is expected of Americans.

They would say that "disrespecting the flag" is something that should have government-backed consequences, I refuse to accept that under any circumstance. But I support their right to say it and be wrong.
