Will tRump Ever Be Able To *Shore up his base?*

It’s been 9 straight months of tRump doing nothing but “shoring up his base.”

I thought these people were die-hard, tRump-can-do-no-wrong types. If that’s true, why does he need spend even a second “shoring up his base”? If they’re so enamoured of tRump, he should be attempting to woo in moderates and liberals to his side, safe in the knowledge that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue, and his base would stay with him.

Yet here we are nine months into his reign, and he spends every moment, every ounce of his political capital, every single opportunity to shore up his supposedly rock-solid base.

Please explain.

1. Because he's not shoring up anything

but his fragile ego that depends on the adulation of his base.

2. He is trying to make as much off his base rallies as possible.

He will eventually announce he is not running for a second term and keep the money.

4. Or, he's collecting 2nd term money to pay legal bills.

3. He knows how to campaign--not how to govern

He is doing what feeds his voracious ego. He lives campaigning because people cheer and chant and go crazy over the stupid crap that dribbles from distended pie hole.

He knows only how to campaign--but has no idea how to govern.

He has never learned the finer points of persuasion. He is like all bad sales people--he over promises and under delivers. He betrays trusts and forgets commitments. He knows almost nothing in any detail and what he does know is often just what he wants to believe.

Don't look for any sort of rationality. He is as pure id as anyone that has ever been.

Everything is a present moment and he doesn't reflect or correct. That this toddler man has the nuclear codes and has so much power is terrifying.
