Then, legislation is possible that will begin a long slow process to dramatically reduce violence, particularly with lethal weapons. It won't achieve immediate results. But every decade we wait another 100 million guns will be bought and have to be dealt with when we bite the bullet and adopt tough laws that reduce availability of guns.
