Was On Way To Vietnam 50 Yrs Ago. Never Thought Would Need Helmet & Kevlar Vest In 2017.

We used to joke about sandbagging our house or our living quarters when we got back from Vietnam. We used to joke about having a helmet and flak jacket as part of our wardrobe once back in the US. Some how the new normal seems insane after Vietnam.

Somehow those Vietnam jokes seem prescient now. As a country we cannot really survive as a country if we feel as unsafe as one might feel in a war zone like the Middle East.

to semi automatic people killers become an excuse for gun rights activists, to argue pure bullshit reasoning about gun control....

However, I have concluded that by whatever means available the mentally insane will find their way to killing/murdering as many as they can. my memory goes back to a deranged personality that drove a truck filled with explosive material and parked it in front of a government building with hundreds of men, women and children ....death toll...much larger and devasting as well.

It’s always been that the living entity man has a destructive ability far beyond any other known mammal.....and apparently will not change for the foreseeable future.
