Jimmy Kimmel increases security at show due to Trump supporters

http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/10/02/jimmy-kimmel-increases-security-at-show-due-to-trump-supporters/

Jimmy Kimmel is learning that there are consequences to getting political — even if it’s for a worthy cause.

Ever since the late-night show host began crusading against the effort by President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act, there have been “incidents with Trump supporters” that have forced him to increase security at his show tapings.

Sources close “Jimmy Kimmel Live” tell the website The Blast that the comedian has had some issues with protestors who don’t appreciate his criticism of Trump and his support of Obamacare. In response to protesters, the show has increased personnel at both the front and back entrances. This personnel consists of highly-trained, off-duty police officers.

In addition to the protesters, several “concerning” emails and letters have also been sent to the production, The Blast said.

...because I try to not stay up that late but I think I've seen a fair amount of his shows and he has never struck me as "quasi-conservative".

Stephen Colbert is brutal on Trump. In such an insulting and mocking way that is "very disrespectful to their Master". I would think a true, loyal deplorable would like to eliminate someone like Colbert, get rid of him for making fun of their supreme wizard.

I hope they all stay safe because, really, these comedians do a great job making points and exposing hypocrisy about the squatters that occupy the White House.

Nobody is going to be swayed by a comedian trying to crack jokes. Our country is too divided and too partisan.

With late night comedy, I just want to escape and get away, and not re-litigate whatever partisan issues of the day.

Comedy is probably the most effective way to change people’s minds and to resist the powerful.

and these shows are extremely successful because a lot of people like that way of getting updates on the day's events.

But feel free to not to watch political humor. That's fine.

They are everything they've accused liberals, President Obama, Hillary, and everyone else they oppose of being.

The GOP milked all their hate, bigotry, resentment and victimhood for votes, and they've created a monster.
