the 90s when grunge was popular. I had at least five friends who wore them just for the sake of fashion. Now it's "retro&quot Melanie is wearing a set of brand new boots, and she is looking uncomfortable and stiff as she always does when wearing "normal people" clothes. The boots are part of a fashion trend -- and she's wearing them to a place devastated by a hurricane and a population without proper food, water, medication, sewage, etc.

I know some people think saying anything at all about Melania and/or her fashion choices is off-limits; however, she is the FLOTUS. Therefore everything she does (yes including her attire just as we point out Trump's constantly inappropriate attire in these situations), and her inability to dress in a way appropriate to any occasion in which she has to interact with the suffering commoners, speaks volumes about her, Trump, the people around them, and their priorities and moral commitments.

Her look of intense misery in these situations, which is even more obvious than her general mien of unhappiness when with Trump, also says a great deal about how she feels about being FLOTUS and interacting with the commoners. I don't think she ever wanted or expected to end up as FLOTUS and would happily stop tomorrow but she isn't willing to dump Trump no matter how outrageous, callous, and/or vulgar he becomes. He's humiliated her wildly in public a number of times (the infamous pussy-grabbing tape would have been enough for many trophy wives) but she puts up with it all. She also supports his hideous comments in public like the infamous birther crap.

Alzheimer's (including the sundowning). He is right at the age when his father began to show Alzheimer's symptoms.

Probably he just goes on autopilot sometimes, without being fully aware of where he is or what he is doing. When he is greeting people in a crowd, he forgets he is not glad-handing guests at one of his golf clubs or at a party.

In the White House, after saying a few words at the lectern, he started to leave the room, forgetting to sign the executive order the reporters and photographers had been assembled to watch him sign. Pence had to go after him, but Trump just hand waved it away, so Pence gathered up the document and carried it out of the room after him.

And then there's the big one, where he didn't even notice the limo waiting for him at the foot of the stairs when he got off Air Force One and had to be guided back to it.

Uses generic stock phrases inappropriately, like that " have a good time" and "warmest condolences" to victims of tragedy.

when off script/prompter, his sentences are incomplete and vague, often contain several ideas sequentially, none of them quite coherent.

I too have listened to his comments from 10 or more years ago, and even when accounting for bullshit phrases he made much more sense.

In case no one informed tRump, the weather in PR is rather warm. So what is he doing in a nylon windbreaker with a hood?? He seemed just a tad bit out of place in a jacket like that. Melania also was wearing a jacket but it appeared to be an unlined twill fabric so perhaps was not as apt to hold the heat like his. Apparently someone did get them on the same page as far as their shoes are concerned. I don't know what SHE thought she was going to do in those shoes but I doubt she was climbing over rubble. I'd love to know who got them for her, what they said to convince her she needed to wear them and what will happen to them after today.
