I find that similar guys, like Charlie Sykes and Rick Wilson, always stay away from that subject.

I did once hear him come close to a mea culpa.

He now seems like an ex-smoker trashing smokers (guilty).

He Ab.so.fuckin.lutely cremated the rethug party tonight like no one I've ever heard. It was a thing of beauty. Wish I had taken notes or could remember some of phrases...but he said something like "there's nothing too despicable...horrible...contemptible they could now do that would disqualify them from running for office" (misquoted even for a paraphrasing). Much more than that.

She didn't get to say more than two sentences because he wouldn't let her speak. And he talked so fast he was worse than Russell Brand's fast talking--but at least Brand was funny. Ford was just obnoxious and overbearing.

Billy Crystal was great. He is incredibly quick witted.

Steve Schmidt is smart, but he gave us Sarah Palin. Yeah, I know he has expressed deep regret over that, but like all the other anti-Trump Republicans, he helped build the corporatist GOP machine and pandered to the idiot base to help the GOP get and hold on to power.

I don't give any of them a pass now, even though I'm glad they realize this has gone way too far, because really, Trump, his base, and his establishment enablers are the natural embodiment of all the tendencies the GOP has been stoking for decades. Trump just abandoned the dog whistle subtleties.

If he were but only partially responsible for that huge idiotic mistake, he should forever apologize.

Your last paragraph ➡

Wish hosts would stop asking Ford on. Just wanted to mute him. And I'd call him a misogynist if I'd not seen him use the same overbearing tactics with men.

getting a word in edgewise. Ford spoke so fast that he was often incomprehensible. I think people who talk like that in a group interaction do so because they don't want to stop being in the spotlight for even a second.

Thing he was ranting about.

Locally there was a man who left his baby in the car and the poor baby died. Statistically this may only happen one in a million times with parents but if that were your baby, you would be absolutely devastated.

And any caring person would not mind paying an extra $45(??) for a warning system.

I know he doesn't like children and I'm often not crazy about them myself, even my own kid , but he needs to "get real" and find some common sense and compassion.

He can be an asshole.

I was never more sure PBO would win in 2008 than I was the day they wheeled out caribou Barbie. It basically sealed the deal.

To the "but but he gave us Palin!" crowd: Palin, or something like her, was coming anyway. If it wasn't Schmidt it would have been somebody else.
