I called Chuck Schumer yesterday to see if the Dems want to do a great HealthCare Bill. ObamaCare is badly broken, big premiums. Who knows

I think it’s only natural to want to tell him off to his face, but the logical thing to do is to keep talking.

The only thing keeping Trump’s approval above 30 is his crazy base, and the clearest path to getting them to abandon him is for him to be seen as working with the Democrats. And once they abandon him, he’s done.

And just to be clear, I’m in no way, shape, or form suggesting that they concede a thing in terms of policy.

We deal with him we legitimize a racist, an anti-semite, a hompohobe, a misogynist, a transophobe, a nativist, an Islamophobe, and a xenophobe, et cetera. i wouldn't voluntarily share an area code with him.

You do as you please. My stance is unyielding resistance.

There are too many awful things happening not to try. Especially with healthcare where so many people are in a dangerous position.

"The president wanted to make another run at repeal and replace and I told the president that's off the table," Schumer said in a statement on his call with Trump on Friday, news of which the president confirmed in a tweet.

"If he wants to work together to improve the existing health care system, we Democrats are open to his suggestions. A good place to start might be the Alexander-Murray negotiations that would stabilize the system and lower costs," Schumer added.”

But given how much damage is being done, we need to take a chance. Usually, hate such compromises, especially with The Mendacious, but stomach curdles every time I see a "5 things that happened while you weren't looking' article.

There are many ways to achieve an end result but with so many different people with different approaches and ways to resist all must keep on. As an added plus to any possible deals, each time he does this, he loses voters.
