Anger, praise in Scotland as losses mount at Trump's resorts

David Milne loves the view of the North Sea from his home high above the roiling surf, but he finds his eye often falling onto the golf course next door and, when it does, on the tiny figures below.

He counts the people coming off the buses in the parking lot and the people swinging at the 1st tee and the 10th tee and he counts the people walking the fairways and after all this counting he's convinced of something that must be satisfying given his tussles with the owner, Donald Trump.

There aren't enough people.

"The carpark is rarely even half full," said Milne, 53, looking out again on Friday under clear blue skies. "For what was supposedly the best golf course in the world, I don't really think this is a resounding success."

A few hours after Milne spoke, he got some confirmation. A financial report that Trump's company filed with the British government shows he has lost millions of dollars at the resort, called the Trump International Golf Links, as well as at a second one on the other side of Scotland overlooking the Irish Sea.

The report from Britain's Companies House released late Friday showed losses last year more than doubled to 17.6 million pounds ($23 million). It was the third year in a row of losses. Revenue also fell sharply.

I would like to see this grow too all of his companies and properties.

But then again, he would probably bail it all out using tax payers dollars!

Where he stuck the taxpayers with the bill for his failed golf resort.
Viz.

...his golf course on the island defaulted, like so many of his other failed business schemes. The failure left Puerto Rican taxpayers with a nearly $33 million bill, another example of Trump's many scams that make him wealthier and con hardworking families.

wouldn't have been interested in a Trump course. I would have wanted to hit all the old courses I could get on.

I hope this spreads to all his businesses and everything with his name on it. Nothing short of total humiliation and bankruptcy is what I want to see.

to get the piece of shit built, 'cause his grandma was Scottish don't ya' know, like he even knew her. Scotland needs to build more wind turbines off the coast of the golf course and watch him lose his fat ferret orange top. Rip it up and return it to nature, build a national park and let people camp there. They'll make more money.

They only watch Faux Snooze which will never report the bad news about him, so don't know that he's actually a total abject failure at everything he does, including being the so-called president. The only reason Repugs keep him around is 1 - Putin says and 2 - hope he will implement their tax plan by foisting all the taxes the rich used to pay onto the poor and using the $ cut from the working class and poor folks and giving that to the rich as well.

The rich don't care that he's decimating SS and Medicare, they don't rely on these like the rest of us do. They don't care that he's a racist and has fostered bad relations with the world's democracies and friendships with many dictators. They don't care that he's subverted our laws, they only care about their taxes getting cut by millions. Once they've gotten what they want, (IF they do) what will they do then?

Hopefully Mueller will make this a moot point and take him and the Repug leadership down for breaking our election laws by colluding with a hostile foreign country. He's really our only hope!
