(2,748 posts)I was fortunate enough to meet Molly before she left us, and like anyone who knew her, I miss her and think about her a lot. i met her at a Rolling Thunder Festival that Jim Hightower put together in Austin, in 2002. I also got to meet Katrina vanden Heuvel and Granny D.
I have never heard this song before that I remember, but I saw Carolyn Wonderland play a Poodie's Roadhouse just west of Austin, earlier this year. She put on a hell of a show.

(9,006 posts)We got to interview Molly, Jim Hightower, Granny D, Jesse Jackson, Jr. and several others for a Houston access TV show we were producing.
It felt like we were in the middle of something great, but I clearly remember Nancy Pelosi proclaiming a few years later that impeachment of Bush was off the table. Hit me like a ton of bricks.
No, we Democrats want to "look forward and not backward."
Big mistake. Huge fucking mistake.

(3,569 posts)Her music amazing but she is a dedicated lefty as well who is unafraid to speak truth. One of my favorite people on this planet. Oh yeah, Girl can sing too.

(841 posts)Too bad she is not alive today. She was a very powerful and effective critic of George W. Bush. Funny too. I am sure she would rip Trump to shreds.
