If nothing is done immediately about Trump, maybe we

should just get use to the fact that we are entering a time of total nuclear annihilation. Can we "really" stop It? Apparently our elected officials feel no need or compunction to do so. It's reported that Kelly and Mattis have talked about what they would do if Trump went for the nuclear football. If they resign, or are fired, the nutjobs will be running the show. If that actually happens there will he no one around to say oops!
I'm not an alarmist and never thought I would say such things. But, I never in a million years would have thought we would ever be in this Twilight Zone of human existence.

I have always lived with the possibility of nuclear annihilation. I lived near Boeing and knew they would be a target. Many nights when a new jet would take off - low and loud, I was sure it was Russia and it was the end. I have rehearsed too many times. To this day I do not trust tomorrow, backed up by dreams.

We should keep the possibility in mind but carry on. There is nothing we can do if and when something like that happens. The desks and bomb shelters during the 60's were never going to save us - it was palliative care of the citizenry.

I am really good at that - I always try to be cautious, extremely, because the consequences will be suffering or expenses I can't afford. It is just that nuclear annihilation does not leave much room for survival.

I will tell you that after the election, my brother told me "all those bad things we thought could happen will now happen." He meant living with the worst consequences of climate change and possible nuclear war. I have thought of that often.
I don't see where anyone in the government is going to stop a mad man.

I think that those around him will stop any attempt to proceed with a nuclear war. I believe they would kill Trump and make it look like a natural death. Everyone around Trump seems to be on high alert because he is so irrational. God help us ... Repubs, do your job and remove him from the Presidency !

I plan on growing a hard chitinous shell to better survive the radiation and have placed all my single malt scotch in lead-lined boxes.
