With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!

(64,869 posts). . .somebody posted the actual verbiage from the FCC that makes it clear that they do NOT license networks. Rather, they license individual stations and it affects networks only as far as those stations the network actually owns and operates.

(64,869 posts). . .since it doesn't include the cable piece, then yes because there are network owned and operated stations involved, so the license status is involved.
I don't know that FCC has "veto" power over the deal though. That seems more like the FTC with FCC providing guidance that the merger isn't a maneuver to avoid proper licensing for over the air broadcasting.
