We Tried 99 Percent THC-A Crystalline Dabs, and It Was Chill

https://www.thekindland.com/products/we-tried-99-percent-thc-a-crystalline-dabs-and-it-1983

The weed world is changing more and more every day. From what we smoke, to how we smoke, to where we are legally allowed to smoke; or if we smoke our weed at all. Of course, cannabis is still illegal at the national level––a Schedule I drug on the same tier as the terrible two: heroin and bath salts.

Most people know this notorious scheduling is unmerited; weed just has a bad rep. But one aspect of all-things-THC that isn't doing the cannabis community any favors, at least in presented aesthetics to the outside observer, is dabbing.

But image isn't everything.

The KIND has written at length about concentrates. Some of our writers and editors are frequent dabbers. So, of course, when we heard of a highly potent, (allegedly) nearly pure, crystalline concentrate testing at 99 percent THC-A, trying a dab of it went from being a "treat yo self moment" to part of the job description.

thought of this because of the idiot KY governor.

a California shop, he became a lost cause. His short-term memory is now extremely bad, very slow with any mental task, and truly annoying to have a conversation with. To each their own. It was very similar to the impact on another friend of mine who started smoking K something or other that he was getting from a gas station.

Just just lost his job because of his memory.

I have no idea as to it's impact on his brain if he stopped.

There is no evidence of long-term neuro-cognitive side-effects If he stops, he should be OK after at most 25 days. Assuming, of course, the memory impairment isn't caused by something else.

I have never seen it impact someone like this. To be up front, I'm not sure if anything is added during the process. I know the product he uses is broken down in part by introducing mj to butane. It's a common practice to extract a number of things.

And has no (added) hydrocarbons. Theoretically there’d actually LESS shit in the stuff one vapes, if one is buying the CO2 extracted stuff.

One of the nice things about Nevada’s laws are the strict testing, regulations, labeling, etc. People theoretically know exactly what they’re getting, whereas at one point recently something like 50% of the dispensaries in LA County were unlicensed and operated by organized crime.

(Of course, there’s no actual method of enforcement for most of the Nevada testing regs, but that’s a while other very weird legal issue)

Sounds like he has some real addiction issues and might be self medicating to cope with personal problems. Weed isn't the demon conservatives make it out to be, but people still shouldn't be high all the time. That's being no better than a functional alcoholic.

I've been using cannabis as a palliative for quite some time, mainly Hybrids with a higher CBD content. As a teenager my friend and I would construct bongs and stash them in the woods at strategic locations on our mountain bike trails. Not my first weed rodeo is what I'm saying.
So i'm at a party last year and my buddy brings out his dabbing contraption and loads one up for me. This kid next to me warns me to be careful and I that I may need to sit down. I mumble something about smoking back when dinos ruled the earth and pulled the hit. Held it, exhaled, smiled said "whoa" and I. Sat. Down.

It's strong. Too strong for my tastes and needs. It's also equipment and preparation intensive; I like just being able to load a bowl and go on trail ride and smoke by some remote creek or something.

IMHO, it kinda makes the whole thing more drug like than just smoking a plant.

peace,
Noodelboy
