So what is trump, exactly? Not the president - he is indeed just a fucking moron - but a plant?

an idiot manchurian asshole shit flinging gaslighter extraordinaire whose sole purpose is to strew chaos?

After pondering recent news, I am really convinced he is not running the country, but just a figure head put in place to capture the insane base of hatred, racism, ignorance - but essentially to run interference for those who really are in power to dismantle anything that does not serve the ultra wealthy.

Just when I think there is nothing worse than trump, it comes to me that what really is the worst is what is beneath trump and calling the shots.

I've been thinking this since election day, but more and more don't really think we can take much more....as the famous poem says, things fall apart - which is what we are witnessing...but, the center canNOT hold.

1. We can't sustain this chaos for four years as the status quo.

Either Trump's presidency falls apart, or our democracy does.

Let's pray it's the former.

3. No, Rump was a misguided rebellion by conservatives who knew something was

terribly wrong and that they were being betrayed by the Republican Party leadership but didn't, and still don't, know who their enemies really are.

They are most of the same people who cluelesslessly joined the "tea party" rebellion created by agents of the very people they were rebelling against, i.e., hired by the Koch alliance to further their interests.

They are the same people who yet again, even more worried about losing Social Security, Medicare, etc., but too deluded to join the Democrats, rebelled against the metas' candidates by voting for a dysfunctional nincompoop whose power was promptly used to further the goals of the people rebelled against.

Rump is what he always seemed to be -- a disordered buffoon who craves attention but is such a profoundly lemon that he could be turned into lemonade by the very villains he was the imagined leader of a rebellion against.

Now,
PENCE is a plant. (That lemonade from a lemon maneuver.)
RYAN is a plant.
Many, many others, like Tx Governor Greg Abbott, potential POTUS, are plants.

twisted fantasies.

Unimaginable how much damage a bunch of ignorant lost souls can do to a country - perhaps the world.

This all has to end somehow, some time. But when?

Can you tell my frustration level? Each day my wife and I listen to the daily news update on our Alexa - NPR, BBC, Slate and NYT headlines and highlights. Each day when it is over, we look at each other and shake our head and just wonder about so many things

5. Best guess, they'll become disillusioned, vote in fewer numbers, we'll get power,

the nation will move into the next progressive era that is now very overdue but retarded by black money, we'll be joined by some conservatives, leaders and voters, who are appalled at how close we came to destroying our democracy, and we'll enact reforms, rebuild, including internationally, and embark on long delayed advances.

That's what should happen. There are 330 million of us, after all, even if 50 million are currently effectively nuts.

Know where you're at, though. I woke up and faced a choice of lulling myself back to sleep with a novel about a serial killer or the news, and they both struck me as unpleasant pre-dreamland material.

I think quite a few of our republican senators and congresspeople received large Russian donations too, making them easy to compromise.

If this goes like the other take overs that Russia has masterminded lately, then yes, Trump's purpose is to create chaos, and maybe WWIII. The only way they can become more powerful than us is to make us weaker than them. Trump is already dong a great job of breaking us apart from within.

I will never forgive republicans for going along with this treason, along with their right wing enablers who funded them. They are traitors of the first order.
