That "deals" with the orange shitgibbon about Healthcare.
The beginning and ending negotiation is that he rescinds that ridiculous EO and restores the CSR payments.
After that, we'll talk about whether it's 20 years, or life in prison for him and his entire Fucking family.
If Dems give into this blackmail, the country is dead

I am thinking what trump did is going to get challenged
I am not sure the executive branch can use an executive order to block the subsidies of an existing law that the SC ruled as Constitutional. I think Congress controls the allocation of funds
I also still haven't given up hope he will be removed from office

(51,585 posts)In fact I got an email from Feinstein today saying that she feels for me and my situation and said she plans to cross the aisle and work with the GOP to stop it. The GOP won't budge...why should they? They hold all the cards and they know it! I hate them is an understatement.

(15,323 posts)Do you think they'll except anything that would help you?
It's a tough dilemma. Retrumplicans don't give a shit about you, and the people that do care have absolutely no power to help you.
You give into a bully they just get stronger and demand more.

(4,516 posts)The only thing you will get from the right is a free market health insurance plan.
If you can afford to pay for your care fine. If not, they don't care.

(4,490 posts)Or it would price a lot of people out of the market. So yeah, nothing to negotiate. Just have to look at what they want, and how each item on their wish list will hurt or kill lots of people if not cause the collapse of the entire thing.

(58,647 posts)Schumer already said that "repeal" is off the table. He won't re-negotiate anything that reduces the number of people covered.
20 states, some of them red/purple are suing to stop this. Congress is wrapped around the axle about this, and hopefully we can stave off the worst of it until we can re-take the House.

(11,097 posts)I am accustomed to negotiating with people with whom I have very seriously disagreements. If I get the result my client and I want, I will negotiate with the Devil himself.
With Trump it is impossible to know but I think there might - just might - be an opportunity coming from Trump being down on the Repugnants. If the ACA can be saved from Trump's actions that will soon kill the market, I think it worth a shot. The worse that can happen is that no deal can be done and the Democrats can say they tried.
Lives are at stake. I think there has to at least be an attempt.
