Meghan McCain sat stone faced on the View after being reminded what tRump said about her dad...

The show paid tribute to the Navy and each host mentioned their individual military family connections. Joy Behar pointed out John McCain's service and the fact that he was captured and yet chose to stay behind with his men. Joy stated "And that is the same John McCain that Donald Trump made fun of and said 'I prefer heroes who were not captured.' Imagine that. And he still won the election. That was amazing to me. That he could still win an election after he said that about your father. It's unbelievable, isn't it?"

Meghan McCain's response: a blank stare.

The other hosts are waiting. Paula Faris chimes in.

Then McCain mumbles a quiet, uncomfortable "I'm not disagreeing with you. Happy Birthday Navy..."

Then the other hosts chimed in with Happy Birthday.

I suspect McCain is in over her head with this show and time will tell.

In 2004, she confirmed she was for Kerry. Not because of his positions, but because she considered him a very nice person, who was very supportive Of McCain when they both were working on the POW/MIA issue. John McCain's book thanks John Kerry for being there in a tough time. In addition, she disliked Bush for the smearing done in the 2000 primary.

There was even a ridiculous pic of him giving Bush a big hug. He had to really hate him I would think. But there he was, probably hoping to keep himself in good standing for his turn in 2008.

If we ever needed a better president it was 2004. If it was going to be him, that's when he needed to make a run. In the 2000 election, I felt that if it had to be a republican, maybe McCain would have been okay.

Got fired for asking Hillary too many tough questions and they wanted Hillary back on show.

If thats true maybe she is holding back afraid she will get fired.

Personally and I watch show daily I don’t think she is holding her position well at all. She seems scared which is unlike her.

she was another one who liked to think she had the facts but how many times did they come back and correct her after the break?

Also, I think it would be hard to be the Sean Spicer of the panel day in and day out. They have to keep acting like they are okay with the top dog when they really were not and couldn't defend him.

Sometimes when an attack is so personal, it messes with the mind. Her father is dying. He may have asked his family to help him depart with family dignity intact, no fighting with the putrid ignoramus occupying the WH..

I see no reason to attack her, not with this level of anticipatory grief she must be feeling.

I'm not opining on her ability as a talk show host or guest host. But when it comes to family relationships, a little kindness from liberals is in order since her father is dying. IMO.

I actually like Jeddiah better. And I can tell Sunny doesn’t like her . She always has a dour look on her face even Meggan talks. Meggan brings nothing to the table except her name. I don’t see her being there long.
