Napa fire evacuee: Its time to say this. Trump has not

tweeted or shown any compassion to victims of the California wildfires

FROM FACEBOOK

John Ehrenfeld, nature photographer, political activist and writer, was evacuated from his Napa home five days ago. He’s one of 100,000 people under mandatory evacuation in the devastating North Bay fires in California.
John posted this today on his Facebook page:
We are safe in a hotel for another night. Well, those who know me knew my silence on the politics involved here would not last long. If it bothers you, I understand, but it’s time to say this.
I just watched a man describe how his wife died in his arms in Santa Rosa and a mother in tears recounting her son succumbing to the flames in their driveway while trying to escape. People have been burned alive. A woman who barely survived the carnage in Las Vegas lost her house. A woman in a wheelchair was waiting to die until a brave sheriff’s officer risked his life to save her. Rescuers are finding bodies burnt beyond recognition; other reduced to bones and ash. So far, 36 people have lost their lives, 100,000 people have been evacuated trying their best to find shelter and almost 6,000 structures have been totally destroyed. People are enduring unimaginable circumstances. Also, there is no telling how many pets and wildlife didn’t make it. No one can really imagine what this hell is like.
Not that I really care what he says or does, but Trump has not tweeted one word, made a speech, or shown any compassion at all to the victims of the California wildfires. Nothing. Zero. Worthless liberal heathens that we are and not as deserving as the dead red states of Texas and Florida. Are the dead in California less dead? Are their destroyed homes homes not a big deal? Are 100,000 refugees just a statistic? Others do care what the president says and his silence is deafening. If nothing else, the incredibly courageous and selfless firefighters, police, pilots, doctors, nurses and other civil servants deserve thanks and acknowledgment.
Finally, anyone who respects the educated professionals whose lives have been devoted to studying the earth and it’s climate, understands that the warming earth and oceans increases the severity of nature’s worst tragedies. Like fires, hurricanes and tornadoes as any American could see with their own eyes this year. Warm waters, torrential rains, overgrown brush, excessive heat, severe droughts and hurricane force winds are all a result. This is going to happen again and again as the Trump administration and their GOP and corporate enablers continue to dismantle all efforts aimed at slowing or reversing climate change. This is the new reality.

Just because I believe in accuracy:

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/10/politics/mike-pence-california-fires/index.html

Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump gave his condolences to citizens affected by the wildfires currently raging in northern California, saying that the federal government "will stand with" them through the crisis.

The President addressed the wildfires from the White House on Tuesday and added that he's been in contact with California Gov. Jerry Brown.

"I spoke with Gov. Brown last night to know that the federal government will stand with people of California and be there with you in this time of terrible tragedy and need," Trump said before welcoming Stanley Cup champions the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Trump has signed off on a disaster declaration for California. That said, I think that Mr. Trump's Tweets and lack of Tweets say it all about how he really feels.

expect any compassion or anything resembling human feelings from the liar-in-chief? I have a very hard time understanding why anyone can still expect any goodness from him, any sensible behaviour, any coherence, anything at all that makes sense, anything at all that is not self-serving or evil.

There is really no such thing as miracles, there is no magic, it won't happen...when are people going to give up and understand that the liar-in-chief is a dangerous being, that if left alone he will destroy everything in his path, he is not a successful business man, he just a a con, he has the reverse midas touch, everything he touches converts to crap, I thought GW Bush was the one with the reverse midas touch, but he fails in comparison with this monster.

Stop it please, he will never be presidential, the man has no class, no brain for good, he is a pervert, nothing else.

The citizens/american people of Puerto Rico speak with an accent. The citizens/american people of California didn't vote for him. So he's not going to help.

"The guy in the white house" is totally ignorant, among some of his other quirks. It seems to be he may be suffering from sundowners. The initial stage of dementia or alzheimer's. Anyone, correct me if I'm wrong.

My issue is, his business model uses the paruskies. As a citizen and patriot, I am opposed to pRezident dRumpf because he represents treason.

AND, he had not enacted additional sanctions as voted by the Senate and House. His business model (hundreds of LLCs) will no doubt fail if the paruskies withdraw their support.

There has been much discussion on the fact Trump has stated many times he believes HE, and his family, deserve the good things in life because their genetics make them superior. He also claims his good genes make him smarter and etc, but the point is, seriously, he believes he is a master specimen of the white people, and that this has been passed down to his kids.
He claims the money he says he has is a result of "hard work" and superior mind, not because of his father giving it all to him.
Therefore , his rich friends are genetically superior to others. Anyone who is not rich, and preferably white, is not deserving of his attention, as we are seeing.

Is everyone just going to sit back and say we will be in a war by next summer and by the way one million or more people will die. We will leave the people of Puerto Rico to just die, it cost too much to save them, a mass murderer is in charge of The United States and everyone just sighs, and do nothing. This is no longer America, some weird unhinged person took over the country and congress will do nothing.

Trump's silence on this disaster is inexcusable. He has made it very clear that he is only president to the people who have supported him and not to the entire nation. This is just sickening and he should be impeached for it.

There is no end of hellishness that I wish upon him and his family.

that Dotard cannot function within the norms of civilized society. He's a malignant narcissist with more than one personality disorder. At this point, I'm almost relieved when he does something more thoughtless and outrageous than he did the day before because if he DID do or say something appropriate, the media would fawn all over him and he'd be a frigging hero. He's a broken nasty excuse for a human being.

Trump is a divider. He hates California. I live in California, and I hope to all the gods we can get that freakish overweight gnat out of office before he starts trying to bring California down.
By ignoring the California wildfires, he's made it clear that he plans on playing favorites with red states, and burying blue states.
