So why am I getting flooded with him asking for donations to my e-mail? I donated to Hillary not Bernie EVER. I sent a scathing e-mail and unsubscribed... even tho I never subscribed. Is the DNC selling my info?

(31,261 posts)List for almost everything get sold. You like puppies and donate to dog shelters? Expect the list with your name as an animal lover to get sold.
It is a gross invasion of people's privacy, but it happens regularly and is now standard practice.
Good luck getting your name removed, it is likely on many new lists by now.

(2,857 posts)Trump got my email from some sort of shady site I had to enter an email for. I know this because he used a nickname that I don't actually use which I put on shady sites so I know to not open email to that name.
I have never signed up for or donated to any republicans.

(2,892 posts)Sign up for one groups email, expect your address to get passed around to several.
And when you unsubscribe, don't give them a reason.
I asked to be relieved of emails from a certain progressive group that was getting
too pushy in their requests, simply told them I was getting too many emails.
The bastards took my name off their list, and passed it on to some chinese firm that has been pouring crap into my inbox.

Why is he raising money now? What does he say it's for?

(15,512 posts)A couple of months before the California primary in June I started getting regular Sanders emails. I also assumed this was a result of the data breach discussed here:

(68,539 posts)plans to run in 2020. He needs to do it as an Independent...and if the DNC is foolish enough to allow a run as a Democrat, we will see more division and a 2020 loss in my opinion. I don't believe he can win a primary...but the division such a run would create could lose the election for us. We need new candidates period for 2020...not Clinton and no Sanders.

(31,261 posts)The "burn down the house to save it" mindset is strong in some people.
I can see Bernie launching attacks on perfectly good Democrats, attacks that republicans catalog to use against the Dem later. And the bad thing is that once the negative picture is painted of the Dem, no serious effort is made to undue that image and tell the truth.

(32,660 posts)I would use President Obama as an example of working with and nominating republicans to his staff. The only time change will take place is when we put country above party, now where did I hear that?

(68,539 posts)Not well...so after months of Sen. Sander's supporters complaining about Dems working with the GOP now he thinks we should...sorry...not happening. The GOP stole our judicial nomination...and now we should play nice...NO.
safeinOhio
(32,660 posts)I didn't support George Wallace because he had a D in front of his name. Now tell me what part of Sander's Democratic Message posted above do you disagree with.
Demsrule86
(68,539 posts)as an independent...so what you are saying is not pertinent. When you reach the election, always vote Democratic...and we will not work with then GOP except in very important matters such as health care and only if they truly want to fix it. I can't think of a single other thing we should cooperate with GOP type on.

(68,539 posts)kill millions of Americans by destroying the ACA, they stole our judicial nominee...clearly the situation has changed...there can be no compromise with the GOP. The GOP wants Dem cooperation but never offer any when it is there turn...way to one sided...and we must utterly destroy this evil party the sooner the better.

(15,512 posts)There's a thread discussing it that I made comments in but the weirdest thing is that he refuses to name the ACA -- he calls it "your insurance." Once you notice him doing it you can't miss it. He also neglects to mention the recent executive order eliminating ACA subsidies.

(54,330 posts)Not that I notice, anyway. I don't look at most of them if I don't recognize the true sender right off, and if there's one thing I know, it's that I don't get personal email from Rob Reiner or Robert Redford, or whoever's lending their name to today's solicitation campaign.
Bernie was my first primary donation because I wanted his voice heard a part of the discussion. I soon gave up after the discussion became only about him.

(34,104 posts)We did donate to Bernie and subscribed to some of the groups that supported him so yes, we do get them from him. Every now and then I will get a request from someone else, mostly from someone I do not know of or a well known D and occasionally from an R (I live in Kansas, they think we all love them).
I find it annoying too but not enough to write about it.
