Local Township Races

I don't know about anyone else but there has been a trend the last 2-3 local election cycles where I live.

It used to be they would put Republican or the cute little elephant prominently displayed on their yard signs. Now they have taken it upon themselves to put Conservative or conservative values on their signs. So what they are telling me that the similar policies that made Kansas a third-world state is something that would be a very good ideas to subject our children at a young age.

I have a new policy set aside for just such an occasion:

1. A sign with no party affiliation. Okay. You have the floor. What will you do for the school district.

2. A sign that has a GOP endorsement somewhere on it. You can tell me what you will do as well but I probably can't get past the cute little elephant and will not be part of the school board members I will vote for.

3. A sign that says "conservative" on it. You are telling me that a political agenda is more important than the welfare and education of young people. In this case not only will I not vote for you, I will likely have campaign signs on my yard of people running against you.
