Mentality? It is hard to associate this world with people who have a black hole between the ears..

Not sure it is a real comfort but, alas, we too do have our fair bunch of brainless...

Yours...ours...they are all about the same.

...of Mother nature mistakes...

A side effect of climate change probably.

I opened a thread about "the more it changes, the more it is the same". Not sure it is the right expression in English but it is what we say in French "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose".

Whatever the reason, he's an unbelievably flawed human being. What I think is hardest for most of us to understand is how he manages to retain the support of his loyalists and is facing few repercussions for doing and saying the most egregious things that would have sunk any other candidate - let alone any president!

And I do read some French, that was the language I studied in school - though that was quite some time ago...

I have an opinion of how he manages to retain his base : a total lack of critical sense.

Not all but most of his supporters are poorly educated not able or not willing to learn and exercice any critical sense. For those who are educated and still support him, as Huckabee et al is it more a matter of being rotten to core and vicious. Those which only concern is themselves and would walk on corpses to get what they want.

Nowdays, almost everywhere in the world, leaders proudly claim a huge improvement in education. Yes...and no...

I'm advocating for many years to dedicate a course to teach appropriatly the critical sense.

The only way for all of us to avoid such troubled and instable eras as our current one.

It is appalling to see how people swallow anything they hear and will fit their anger, frustrastion, without giving a single second to analyze what is presented as the truth or the accurate solutions.

I'm sorry I can't argue better in English, I shortened to make my reply more or less coherent.

There is many points to develop and much more to say.

I'm also curious to now what are other point of view

And the truth is, it never was as much of an issue - since the role of an American president has always been to make life better for people. But nobody can remain apathetic these days, this is uncharted territory, a "president" who is only in this to make things better for himself. Throughout history - in other countries - we called these dictators and considered them to be deplorable. And how bad does it have to get before people wake up?

I don't know.

I don't even know who is the cartoonist. I'm more familiar with the European cartoonists.

I just picked the cartoon as I found it appropriate
