And I don't mean in a figurative sense.
Within six months, this man is going to be:
A) In the ground.
B) In a hospital bed.
C) In a wheelchair in the corner of his bedroom, staring and drooling onto an old magazine on his lap that has a picture of himself on the cover.
Just hang in there, everyone. Mother Nature has your back.

(12,845 posts)... while texting he accidentally drops his cell phone in the toilet. Then he gets up and tries to retrieve it, hits his head on the rim, and drowns in his own shit.
If that happens I will become a true believer in karma.

(2,050 posts)Look at Obama's hair now, it's a stressful job for those with a conscience.
I know about stress an grey hair, I cared for my father during his two year end of life struggle, then I lost my Best Friend, my little Sister, two Uncles and my Cousin.
I became the oldest male family member at 55 years old.
My Mother has lost her Husband, Daughter, Brother, and now her Sister is in the hospital and may not come out, all since 2013.
In a seven year period, my hair has gone solid silver, stress does that.

(13,776 posts)All since 2013? I cannot even begin to imagine what you and your mother have been through. And not just the losses but the hard work of caring for your father for two years... you must be so exhausted from the stress and the grief. I'm so sorry for what you've been through.

(2,050 posts)It started with my Uncle in 2008 but My Father, Sister, uncle have been since 2013.
I was the only one in the room when my Uncle passed in 2008.
I was the one who unplugged my little sister from the machines keeping her breathing, the hospital had given that responsibility to her oldest son at 20 years of age because of him being the oldest.
I told them it was my responsibility as I was the closest living genetic human to her present, she had brain cancer, had permanent brain damage as she had quit breathing hence the machines, this was against her clearly written out and we'll know wishes.
I followed her last wish, it killed me inside but at least my Nephew didn't have to live with having to do it.
I'm ok these days, but writing this brought a few years to my eyes.
And again thanks for you kind words.
