Some Sexual Abusers Do Jail Time
Others climb into limos with cameras rolling and go to "rehab." Some even wind up in the White House, of all places, despite their misdeeds being publicized nationally. Still others take a flight to Poland and never return. Some get defended by famous people because they were "likable" television stars.
We don't seem to be very good at that "equal treatment under the law" thing here. If you're rich or powerful, you can sexually harass, abuse or otherwise destroy people's lives and go about your business in many, many cases. If you're the victim of such a man, you will get death threats if you tell your story, while your attacker gets elected to some high office.
We really, really need to stop doing that. We need to make examples out of the famous, rich and prominent people who sexually abuse people. We need to show everyone that there is no escape from punishment for such vile acts. I think we should start, perhaps, with the man currently in the White House.
