President Endorses, Encourages American Activists and Advocates

from the President's weekly address today: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2011/12/31/weekly-address-working-together-new-year-move-america-forward

____ There’s no doubt that 2012 will bring even more change. And as we head into the New Year, I’m hopeful that we have what it takes to face that change and come out even stronger – to grow our economy, create more jobs, and strengthen the middle class.

It was good to see Members of Congress do the right thing for millions of working Americans. But it was only possible because you added your voices to the debate. Through email and Twitter and over the phone, you let your representatives know what was at stake. Your lives. Your families. Your well-being. You had the courage to believe that your voices could make a difference. And at the end of the day, they made all the difference.

More than anything else, you are the ones who make me hopeful about 2012. Because we’ve got some difficult debates and some tough fights to come. As I’ve said before, we are at a make-or-break moment for the middle class. And in many ways, the actions we take in the months ahead will help determine what kind of country we want to be, and what kind of world we want our children and grandchildren to grow up in.

2. This President by far has had to deal with the most epic domestic and global issues than any other

President in DECADES. And he keeps on trucking. Much respect! Looking back at most Presidents I would say they all pretty much just coasted through their presidencies having to deal with FAR less than Obama has. He is truly a world leader.

3. He's right you know. Neither he nor Congress can protect our interests. We have to do that....

... We need to carefully vet our candidates and work hard to get progressives elected.

Occupy the voting booth.

4. So where's the part where he says any criticism of policy is 'hate' and no one

should find anything wrong with any of his policies or they are aiding the GOP? It almost sounds to me as if he likes the actions taken and the criticisms placed at the feet of those in power. I'm sure the self appointed Super Supporters can explain which parts of this message actually mean 'Matt Damon sucks' or 'teh gay wants a pony' as I just do not hear the President saying anything like that. He sounds thankful for those who take action and speak out. Funny.
