MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on Wednesday asked former acting attorney general Sally Yates to run for office.
During an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Scarborough asked Yates: "When are you going to run for something?"
"I've never been drawn to the idea of elective office," Yates said.
Scarborough shot back: "This isn't about what you want, this is about what America needs. Just remember that." Yates said she hopes someday she will have another opportunity for public service.
"Elective office, I'm having a hard time seeing," she said. "But, we'll see I suppose."

(32,628 posts)I've had about all I can take of that guy. He's a terrible moderator because he thinks his opinion is more important than any of his "guests". The guests on his show have to sit silently and nod their heads in agreement while he doesn't shut up. I can't figure out why anybody would want to be on his show.
Lately Willie Geist is the moderator because Joe Scarborough isn't even doing the job anymore. It seems that Joe wants to be the permanent guest on his own show. I mean it's OK to have an opinion but you can't talk over and shout down everybody else. He's pretty much in the same category as Chris Matthews for all of me.
