We're talking about obama's administration, it was completed with dignity and grace. This is not about obama, dumbass trump brought it up cause he's an idiot.

They are making some fuss about "ask Obama if he called Gen. Kelly". Then the White House comes out with a statement that Obama did not call him.
It is my contention that Obama would call the wife.
Of course Obama is too classy to bring it up.

Not attack Trump, just point out the lies. It would help protect the American people from Trump

President Obama has too much empathy and class to drag a bereaved widow into this. (I’m sure that he’s rolling his eyes in private, though.)

I think Obama is the only one with enough clout to bring Trump up short.
Obama has to only point out the lies of Trump when they point to Obama

he lied. I would wager he has not called any or very few. I would also say he probably has not written any letters.

neither call nor letter.

But what also upsets people is the fact that he ignored these 4 deaths for 12 days while tweeting about the NFL and other nonsense and golfing all the time, even as the men's coffins arrived at Dover AFB. He never acknowledged their sacrifice at all until questioned about it by a reporter yesterday.

The goddamned lying by #45 and his inner circle has been taking place on a heroic scale. There has never been so much deceit, obfuscation, opacity, and out-and-out howlers that DEMAND to be re-played, and un-spun as many times as necessary, so that #45 ultimately stands ALONE atop his ever-growing hillock of lying bullshit.

From what I've seen reported, no one claims Obama put in condolence calls with respect to every service member that died overseas during his presidency (around 2000 I believe).

This isn't and shouldn't be about comparing Obama and Trump. It's about Trump. Period.

There might be an issue of who was listed as “next of kin” on the official records. You fill that stuff out when you enter the military and if it changes you are supposed to keep it up to date but this person may not have done that.

All speculation. I have no idea.

Everyone was on the same page as to who was to contacted, will, and the such. His wife would have been the one called, after he died and by the president...and Kelly nows this.

If Gen Kelly and his wife were sitting at Michelle Obama's table at a breakfast for Gold Star families six months later then it seems beyond logical that the President and First Lady had spoken to Gen Kelly and his wife numerous times before the event. I don't think we will ever get a statement from President Obama or Gen Kelly because apparently they had a personal relationship. So don't expect either one of these men to say anything.

had to hear about it a long time ago, if he even got close to some RW ers opinion that he wasn't showing proper respect it would have been a big issue during his presidency .

If my husband had died in Iraq, I would have been called, not his parents...his dad having served 28 years in the Army and is a retired COL. I am his next of kin, not his parents. Also, before going, things like who to call, wills, and everything you can think of is clearly written out. So, again, trump is a lying piece of shit, and Kelly nows better.
