30-40 years of GOP's lying, stealing, cheating, and hating brought them to this moment in time. fake news' constant propaganda and hate radio's propaganda and other anti crapola with the help from outside foreign countries have brought the USA to this point and time.

It's ugly.

just less incompetent and/or effectively crazy ones who realize their extremist party is pulling our nation over a cliff.

Their counterparts couldn't stop what they unleashed in Germany last century, but that was a very different time and place. We are a far, far stronger democracy than a broken Germany was during its first little 15-year experiment after centuries of authoritarian rule.

Most here will not tolerant it, I truly believe that. We may not have the wealth that the supporters of hatred have but we do have one thing they will NEVER have - a sense of humanity.

governments which are widely dispersed, and our geography would also create very different situations. I imagine refusal and resistance would vary greatly by state and region, even often county to county.

Not that it could happen in the first place. Good thing. One huge disadvantage do we have now is that the government could paralyze almost everyone just by shutting off our power, food, communications and closing the roads. Like Puerto Ricans, we'd immediately start spending long hours in lines just to survive. Where reason for lining up was provided.
