Flynn, McMaster, and Kelly Have Done More In Six Months To Damage The Reputation of The Military

than anybody since Vietnam.

The reputation of the United States armed forces was dragged through the mud by the Vietnam war, and they struggled for 45 years to rebuild it. The way they handled the first Gulf War made a big difference, too. They've worked hard to prove they're honorable, non-partisan, and non-political. They don't belong to any political faction, they're just there to defend us. We can't blame them for carrying out a lot of missions that were thought up by the IDIOTS that WE keep sending to Washington.

Some people say Wesley Clark damaged their reputation a little bit by running for the Democratic Party nomination. *Shrug* Others say Tommy Franks damaged it a little more by endorsing George W. Bush in 2004. *Shrug* Maybe.

But these three asshats have done more to damage the military's reputation in six months than anybody I've ever seen.

Flynn is just a petty, vindictive, crooked little man. Fair enough. But, up until now, we liked to think that petty, vindictive crooked little men didn't rise to the rank of Lieutenant General in the Army. Now we know.

McMaster was particularly disappointing, given that he wrote his thesis on how bad it was for the top ranks of the military to prostitute themselves to the politicians during the Vietnam war. And then he goes out and makes Alexander Haig and William Westmoreland look like models of virtue by lying about Trumps conversations with the Russians. He made passionate protests and staments that were EASILY proven to be untrue. It makes you question both his integrity AND his intelligence. What an idiot.

And now Kelly. It was bad enough for him to back Trump's stupid Muslim ban over the objections of the acting Attorney General. But now this. If he was really the hero that people paint him to be (bravely keeping Trump contained and subdued so that he can't do any real damage) he could have just come out and said HE gave Trump the line about "he knew what he signed up for," and taken the fall for it. But no. He had to go the extra mile, and make a sustained, partisan political attack on Congresswoman Wilson, who was there at the family's request. That was above and beyond the call of duty to the manbaby emperor. No, he's not doing this job out of duty. He's ALL IN with this pernicious orangutan.
