(63,221 posts)Even if he did thing it was an original, who on earth would hang an authentic Renoir in their private jet? How tacky can you get?

And vulgar. His vulgarity is a key to his appeal - he's just like his voters, if they won the Powerball.

(46,771 posts)That is why only the Russian oligarchs would lend him money. And why he won't show his tax returns. And why he ran for president in the first place, to make his brand worth more.
But we agree on the vulgar part.

(6,251 posts)hanging it on an airplane is about the worst thing that you can do. The air on the plane in flight is extremely dry. You might as well hang the painting in full sunlight!

(18,402 posts)He only thinks he can fool people, and he lies like a rug. Remember how he says Trump Tower is 68 stories high when it's clearly only 58? Or how big the crowd was at his inauguration when it was verifiably not so? It's just how he rolls: with flagrant lies that are obviously untrue on their face. It's pathological.
I've seen that painting in the Art Institute a hundred times . . . and the Impressionist galleries at the Art Institute are world famous, as is that painting. Anyone who knows thing one about art knows that painting is in the Art Institute.
