Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson slammed the network on Saturday for keeping host Bill O'Reilly's talk show on the air, after a new report that Fox offered the host a new contract after settling a lawsuit over sexual harassment.
"It's horrifying to think that any company would dismiss an employee following multiple allegations of sexual harassment and then allow him back on the air a few months later," Carlson said in a statement on Saturday.

Carlson sued Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes in July 2016 over sexual harassment of his employees. Further allegations quickly emerged against other top Fox employees.
Fox gave O'Reilly a new four-year $25 million contract in February, just one month after he settled a $32 million lawsuit over the allegations, which included a nonconsensual sexual relationship, the New York Times reported Saturday. O'Reilly was fired in April after initial reports of his settlements with five women over similar allegations.
O'Reilly has not admitted to any wrongdoing, claiming the allegations were "politically and financially motivated."
