ADAPT storms Chicago

The group that went to D.C. and helped saved the ACA and Medicaid (several times) is back. They went to Chicago to get a Dem to stop sponsoring a piece of legislation that would gut the ADA

http://us.blastingnews.com/news/2017/10/adapt-storms-bobby-rushs-office-to-protect-americans-with-disabilities-act-002107609.html

And seriously, Dems, I know some of you work at the precincts, maybe some of you have met House Representatives, know some people at the various offices. Can I give you some advice to pass along? Stop fucking helping the Nazis

Dems turning on disabled people at key moments is why a lot of them don't vote.

Including Bobby Rush. An ex-Black Panther who used to fight for civil rights.

Perhaps he has become senile in his old age. Either way: Supporting a Nazi-led plan to gut disability rights? That's a primaryin'

Unless there was something worse sneaked into that bill, they do not represent the Dem Party that Perez is building.

They need to own it.

Enough is enough.

This goes against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Not one single change should ever be made to weaken the bond of that CR Act. Never.

This makes it up to the disabled to approach a business to make access availible.
There's No Limit as to how long the business has to do so.

Why would they think this was a better idea?
Geez!

Here's the list of names from the comments section at the ACLU link:

7. Bera's a piece of work but if Speier is for something it's probably being misconstrued.

ADAPT takes some real fucking weird positions sometimes, I'd want more than their word about the bill.

8. Thanks for that, then we should find out what is their motivation

They should all have the opportunity to answer. And they really better have serious reason for this.

It is really hard to believe Speier went with this bill.
I really want to know why, from her.
Guess I'll go find out.

Hmm.

Kamala Harris & Tammy Duckworth on this bill:

Kamala Harris
@SenKamalaHarris
A really important piece in the Washington Post from my colleague @SenDuckworth.
