Anschluss, meaning connection (for trains or planes) or annexation in German, was the term used for the German annexation of Austria to the Deutsches Reich in 1938. I do not get which country you think we are annexing. Due to our geography, it can only mean Canada or Mexico, and I do not understand from your post which one you mean. Of all the stupid things Trump has said, I do not recall plans to annex either Canada or Mexico being among them. However, here in Europe, we don't hear EVERY insane thing he utters. I'm sure you'll explain which one you meant.

9. It Can Happen Here

There is more and more that is so worrisome. People need to pay attention and fight back.

Some encouraging things give me hope, like multiple states moving toward throwing voting machines in the rivet and using paper ballots is one of them.

But....we have a crass vulgar Jerk as president and that should never have happened. That it happened shows that anything is possible so who knows if truth, justice and The American Way can hold on.
