Old friend and Trumpster diver actually called Obama a "commi nigget" on FB
yesterday! I'm not making this up! He is a spelling challenged on a good day, and I suspect he was drinking. The "t" you would suspect was a typo of course, if anything he knows how to spell the word he intended.
He had posted a pic in early August of him wearing new glasses. I poked him with asking if they were Obamacare glasses or maybe ACA? Then I added that he could of course have ponied up for them himself. I was really hoping to bait him into giving away he was one of those guys that doesn't know Obamacare and the ACA are the same thing.
He's been unemployed for at least five years now and lives with his dad at 55 or 56. The only real job he's held was selling guns for an outfit called Black Sheep Sporting Goods. A small regional chain in this part of the country. SE Washington state and Idaho. He lives in Washington.
In his state, I live just across the boarder in Idaho, I believe he could qualify for medicaid, and I kind of assumed he would take advantage of that and do so. Taking advantage of Obamacare. That could have at least helped him out with an exam and glasses I assume, maybe not.
My comment really pissed him off! The reason for the Obama slur. I countered with, "I'll buy you a beer for that, I like it when a racist comes right out and says it in the open. We always knew that was the main reason for all the Obama hatred all along. We know usually racists only talk like that among themselves though."
He came back with something like, I use words you don't approve of. I have several black friends. I know Indians that like being called Indians and some other typical racist crap. he then called me a pc fairy! LOL Wrong guy to say that too, I don't give a shit if anyone even really thinks I'm gay. He probably really doesn't though.
There's more though. In maybe the late 80's, he was a real heavy drinker. He had a major blood vessel in his throat rupture and almost bled to death. I hear alcoholism can cause that, and think I know a much older guy that had the same thing happen to him. I know he had no insurance at the time and was in the hospital for several days. I've asked several people that know us if they have any idea if or how the hospital got paid? I bet they didn't, or his parents paid it. At least it was back when it wouldn't have been quite so bad. Guys like that are part of the reason we have such a health care mess anyway, the reason for Obamacare that they hate so much.
About the other older guy that was an alcoholic. He also had hepatitis and had been told he had to quit drinking. He didn't soon enough. Once he realized he was in trouble, he actually tried to buy a big life insurance policy but failed the physical and was rejected. Hoping to score some bucks for his brother and sister since he was going to die anyway. He had money and property, but no health insurance either. He'd gotten a big inheritance, and was a weed grower before it was legalized in any way.
So he ends up having the blood vessel in his throat rupture twice, and the local hospital saved him. Then at the end, he died in intensive care. Being a friend of the family, more his brothers friend that his, I was around a lot after he died. His brother and sister are pretty cool. All his brother cared about was hoping his sister got most of what there was, his brother is a well off diesel mechanic genius.
The rest of the family I met were vultures that descended. They were after guns, cars, anything they could get. One thing I heard them say several times is that they had to keep the hospital from getting it! These are mostly Cascade hillbilly's and red as hell too! No concern that hard working medical professionals had saved their family members life twice. Nope, they don't deserved to be paid! They hate Obamacare but when it comes right down to it, they want to live and will take all the care they can get, get their family member to the hospital in time if they can, then try and screw them out of any payment if they can! There might have been a lot wrong with everything about our system finance wise for years now, but assholes like I've described haven't help at all. They are a big part of the mess we have.

Few Americans seem to realize how reliant we really are on our government. And yet, you can't get the right-wingers to see it as OUR government and to own it and be proud of it.
Ignorance of civics, US government, history, science, and international relations prevails. 
And, Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly for VP.
