All Republicans, All of them, want Robert Mueller investigation shut down.

In these Early Days it is so much more important that Mueller win the news cycle than prove his entire case.

And this is the reason why I am so very impressed with Robert Mueller's strategic ass kicking victory today. The Papadopolous Guilty plea was such a Mater stroke.

Because without the Papadopolous Guilty plea I GUARENTEE that the Right Wing Spin Machine would be HOWLING tonight to shut this investigation down. Old Fiancial charges prove no collusion they would scream, and would have given Trump and Congressional Republicans enough political cover to shut it down.

I am convinced Trump would have fired Mueller tonight if it wasn't for the Papadopolous Guilty plea.

And thats also why I am so impressed with Robert Mueller. He knew this, was ready for it, and shut it down.

1. News cycles don't mean shit

Robert Mueller is smarter than his opponents. He is building his cases methodically using the best people in the legal and financial worlds. Although unraveling activities that were purposefully obscured takes time to investigate, "Bobby 3-Sticks" has apparently done a tremendous amount of work in a relatively short time.

Today's news will be dissected for a few days after which there will be new stories for the MSM to salivate over. The day-to-day headlines are less important than the consistency of building strong and indefensible cases against these miscreants.

Meanwhile, the real professional, Mr. Mueller, will continue building his unimpeachable cases against the criminals who are trying to subvert and destroy our nation.

2. I'!! Explain it this way...

The Papadopolous Guilty plea took away Donald Trump's chance to fire Robert Mueller.

Without it, Trump would have fired Mueller this evening or tomorrow morning, AND THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS WOULD NOT HAVE DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NO IMPEACHMENT. The what they have been setting up for a week with their full court MEDIA storm against Hillary and Mueller. If you haven't seen it you were not paying attention.

They already had their talking points. Which they were using this morning AFTER the Manager-Gates indictments. "No Collusion, just old news, financial crimes..."

Papadopolous plea shut hem down. Completely.

Papadopolous plea ensures that Mueller investigation will carry on, for years probably.

The Republicans would have used today's news cycle to Fire Robert Mueller tonight if it weren't for the Papadopolous plea.

I understand what you are saying, Federal laws and courts are where this will be settled. But I am telling you, if Mueller would not have won O'Day's news cycle, it would have never gotten into a court room.

3. I think we're in agreement

What I left out of my post was that Mr. Mueller, along with his top-notch team, has clearly thought through the complexity of how to construct their cases as well as how to protect their investigation. It doesn't take a lot of thought to come to the conclusion that Mr. Mueller would see this job as the most important responsibility of his career.

Team Mueller clearly won the new cycle, as you pointed out. But the cases have been adjudicated yet.
