They're acting like they can fire him to try to make it seem like they are OK with his investigation. It's like me saying, "well, I have no intentions of firing the police detective looking into my fraud." I don't have the power to.

Although in the ethical shitshow that is this administration, I suppose Sessions could unrecuse himself and then fire Mueller to get back in Trump's good graces.
I mean, none of these guys have any sort of moral compass, so why the hell not?

Or convince AG Sessions to fire deputy AG and replace him with someone who will.
