What if Mueller releases the next batch of indictments as Air Force One leaves U.S. airspace? That would cause Trump more sleepless nights. With a limited ability to respond, Trump will continue to freak out.

Reporters wouldn't talk about anything but the firing and his hosts would be pissed. Trump would be shooting himself in both feet. Then again, he is a fucking moron so anything is possible.
