Chris Hayes: With regard to Manafort: "Tad Devine's gotta be sweating right now."

Last edited Thu Jul 26, 2018, 08:27 PM - Edit history (3)

Let's hope he filed his FARA forms. He and Manafort worked for the same pro-Putin Ukrainian candidate in 2010.

From the Politico piece:

Tad Devine

A longtime Democratic consultant, Devine worked on Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000 and John Kerry’s in 2004. He worked with Paul Manafort on Viktor Yanukovych’s 2010 presidential campaign, but backed away after the election, when Yanukovych began clamping down on dissent.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tad_Devine

Internationally, Devine has worked as a strategist and media consultant for the winning campaigns of Colombian President Andres Pastrana in 1998, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak in 1999, Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo in 2001, Bolivian President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada in 2002, Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in 1997, 2002 and 2007, Honduran President Mel Zelaya in 2005, and Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich and the Party of Regions in 2006. He worked again with Yanukovich in 2009 and 2010 for his successful Presidential bid. He served as a strategist and media consultant for Ashraf Ghani's 2009 presidential campaign in Afghanistan.

for Yanukovych but if he did not launder the money and he filed the appropriate FARA documents... i.e. didn't break any laws... he should have nothing to worry about.

is expanding to other people, including Democrats, who didn't file FARA documents.

So no one knows who could be swept up in this.

I've wondered how he's been able to fly under the radar all this time considering his work in Ukraine with Manafort.

I just want to know what he did with HRC's voter data.
Never got an answer.

Stay safe Tad.
We'll be thinking of ya!

Thanks for posting.
Wonder what Friday's news dump will be.
I've heard it involves Mercer but we'll have to wait for the real word from Mueller.
Friday has become "guess the indictment" day anymore.

I'd be nervously regretting ever knowing Paul Manafort. All I'm saying about that one.
Thanks

... there are many many surprises to be revealed. Long-simmering questions will be answered. I'm sure that some of those answers will be shocking, but for a great many more, my reaction is likely to be a cynical "I figured as much". Still we must be patient... although I'll admit that it's difficult to be patient. Still it's important that everything is done properly... so as not to hurt the spell. (So to speak.)

"But's that not what's worrying me. It's how to do it. These things must be done delicately or you hurt the spell. "

About that $10 million mystery money ..perhaaps we'll soon have an answer to clear up that question

The impact of the coup is so deep.

The underhanded & aggressive way it took place is stunning.

is one reason we are currently seeing the "left" double-down on such ignorant attacks. They are still in the denial phase about helping the wrong side(country).
