The fix is in. They set up Sessions to take the fall.

From The Hill:

Carter Page, a former foreign policy adviser to President Trump’s campaign, told House investigators that he told Attorney General Jeff Sessions about his trip to Russia during the campaign, according to a new report.

CNN reports that Page testified that he told Sessions about his trip to Russia, which happened in July 2016.

"Back in June 2016, I mentioned in passing that I happened to be planning to give a speech at a university in Moscow," Page told CNN. "Completely unrelated to my limited volunteer role with the campaign and as I've done dozens of times throughout my life. “

Senate Democrats called Thursday for Sessions to return before the Judiciary Committee and testify, to find out why Sessions did not previously disclose a March 2016 meeting where George Papadopoulos, a former campaign advisor, offered to use his contacts to set up a meeting between the GOP presidential candidate and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Page spoke with House Intelligence Committee members for nearly eight hours on Thursday. Afterwards, Rep. Mike Conway (R-Texas) said Page was “fulsome” in answering the committee’s questions.

But are we taking the bait, here? Are we accepting Sessions in lieu of a much bigger fish?

While WE remember the Saturday Night Massacre and what happened as a result of that, tRump doesn’t remember what he did last night, much less anything of historic significance. All that asshole remembers is who kissed his ample ass and who dissed him.

That is ok. As long as the people who can rid us of this conman remember and act accordingly.

9. Nixon didn't have an excuse to fire the people he fired.

It was obvious he was firing them because they wouldn't fire cox.

If Donnie's got an excuse to fire sessions and claim that it has nothing to do with mueller, that's will be the republican line. Democrats will see right through it, of course, but republicans will eat it up.

He'll take another dip in the polls, but in and of itself it won't have the same effect as the Saturday night massacre had on Nixon.

Is he being set up? Is he okay with that? Will he turn on Trump? Or is this all an act?

1. Grassley has stated there would not be a hearing on a new AG this year.

But more importantly...

2. Trump doesn’t need a new AG to fire Mueller anyway. He can tell Rosenstein to do it at any minute. If Rosenstein refuses, he’s out and the next person in line moves up, and the process repeats until Trump gets the woman/man who will do it. (And I suspect we will reach that point.)

5. Wouldn't Rosenstein end up being acting AG?

The line of succession is Deputy AG (Rosenstein), Associate AG (Rachel Brand), then US Attorneys for DC, Northern District of Illinois, Central District of California.

So it all comes down to Rosenstein, either in his current position as Deputy AG or as acting AG if Sessions leaves.

He is a vindictive SOB like Trump and would take some people with him.
If he is fired he could speak up and turn evidence against them all. Couldn't he?
